Canada’s CBC Radio 1 and 3 championed it on shows nationwide, and videos for the singles Breaking Even and Good Son got major airplay on the MuchMoreMusic and Bravo networks, where Breaking Even peaked at #2. Szabo’s lyrics are beyond-heartfelt and have a confessional air to them, prompting some journalists to compare him to Elliott Smith & “prime Costello”.
